Holly was an impulse purchase from a sale barn. She had been nearly starved to death and was in the killer pen when she caught Kiki's eye. It took months for her to recover but in the end the gamble paid off as Holly blossomed into a fast, forward athlete, winning the Best #2 Award for her British rider in a USA versus UK Women's test match. A tendon injury put Holly into the brood mare band. The pregnancy was planned to make effective use of Holly's "down time" in recovery but we were so happy with her first filly the Holly will stay in production rather than in play.
